Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To derive a developer scattering preventing effect possessed by a developer scattering preventing member and a developer flow preventing effect under black mass and a black solid image to the maximum.
SOLUTION: The developer scattering preventing member 12 is arranged along the tangent P1-P2-P3 of an electrostatic latent image carrier 1 passing a contact P2 on a paper carrying-in side at an abutting part between the image carrier 1 and a transfer device 4, and a distance L between the edge of the member 12 and the outer peripheral surface of the image carrier 1 is restricted within 1 mm to 3 mm and a distance between the contact P on the paper carrying-in side and the edge of the member 12 is restricted to ≤10 mm.
