Abstract:
To provide a developing device in which clogging of a filter for ventilating the inside and outside is suppressed.
The developing device includes: a storage chamber 110 which stores developer 200 including carrier 200a and toner 200b; a magnetic roller 130, the one part of which is arranged in the storage chamber 110 and which holds the developer 200 by a magnetic force, to form a developer layer on the circumferential surface thereof and releases a portion of the held developer, to return it into a storage part; and the filter 170 which ventilates the inside and outside of the storage chamber 110 and is arranged in a position where the developer released from the magnetic roller 130 can come into contact with the filter 170.
