Abstract:

To provide a developing device that performs development with a liquid developer containing toner compressed by a developer carrier and an image forming device including the developing device, which are configured to prevent the liquid developer from being deposited at a tip of a cleaning blade by properly moving from the cleaning blade the liquid developer scraped from the tip of the cleaning blade.

A cleaning roller 511 is disposed so that a part of a circumferential surface crosses a virtual vertical plane VP51S to the side opposite the developing roller. A cleaning blade 512 is brought into contact with the circumferential surface of the cleaning roller 511 crossing the virtual vertical plane VP51S to the side opposite the developing roller. Cleaning is performed by the cleaning blade 512 at a position away from a developing roller 51, thereby reducing an absolute value of a contact angle (blade angle) θ1.
