Abstract:

To provide magnetic toner and a method and a device for development for magnetic toner, which obtain a magnetic signal required for magnetic ink character recognition(MICR) print.

The developing device is provided with a supply source of a dry developer mixture containing magnetic toner particles and hard magnetic carrier particles, a mobile or fixed nonmagnetic cylinder shell which feeds the developer to a developing area, a rotating magnetic core having a preliminarily selected magnetic field intensity, and a means which transfers toner particles from the shell to an electrostatic image by rotating at least the magnetic core. Magnetic toner particles having a low magnetical loading to be about ≤28 wt.% of the weight of the toner may contain a spacing agent on their surfaces.
