Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a developing device capable of obtaining a high grade image without positive fogging by surely preventing the generation of inversed toner.
CONSTITUTION: An elestic blade 9 is arranged in such a manner that the fixed part of the elastic blade 9 fixed on a developing container 26 is inclined in -45° to 90° range in a direction where the abutting angle of the fixed end side of the elastic blade 9 on the sleeve 7 is made small with respect to the vertical plane of the sleeve 7 including the intersection of the extending plane of the fixed part with the developing sleeve 7. Thus, magnetic toner T is excellently charged by the friction by the blade 9 and also a bias voltage having the polarity reverse to the electrifying polarity of the magnetic toner T is applied to the blade 9 under the abutting state, so that the charge of the same polarity as the electrifying polarity of a toner layer can be injected into the toner layer on the sleeve 7 and the reverse toner can be remarkably reduced to attain electrification.
