Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain developer agitating function where agitating ability can be improved without imparting any stress to developer in the developing device provided with the agitating function to uniformly agitate the two component type developer utilized in an electrostatic printing device.
CONSTITUTION: In the agitating mechanism where toner 2a replenished from one end of a first paddle screw 13 is endlessly agitated in order to form the two component type developer 2 by a first paddle screw 13 and a second paddle screw 14 hang horizontally in parallel to be freely rotated in the developing device 1 and a partition plate 15 provided with communicated openings 15a and 15b provided between the two paddle screws, it is constituted so that it is covered with a specified gap from the top part of the outer periphery edge of the first paddle screw 13 and the second paddle screw 14 on the other edge side of the first paddle screw 13 and the communicating opening 15b on the other edge is narrowed in order to generate a contraction flow when the developer 2 is moved from the first paddle screw 13 to the second paddle screw 14.
