Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge developer in a trickle system with good accuracy by temporarily accumulating the developer discharged at a 1st stop position, discharging it to a rotary cylindrical shaft at another stop position and carrying it by means of a developer carrying member in the rotary cylindrical shaft toward the end of the shaft.
SOLUTION: Plural developing devices Dk, Dy, Dm and Dc are rotated and moved with the rotation of the rotary cylindrical shaft Do, and stopped at the 1st stop position P1 where a latent image on the surface of an image carrier 16 is developed. The excess developer in a container 61 is discharged at the 1st stop position P1 and temporarily accumulated in the accumulation part of a developer interconnecting path 73. The developer in the accumulation part is discharged to the shaft Do at a 3rd stop position P3 other than the 1st stop position P1, carried by the developer carrying member 78 provided in the shaft Do toward the end of the shaft, and recovered in a developer recovery container. Thus, the developer in the container 61 is discharged with good accuracy without providing a driving part.
