PURPOSE: To accelerate the mixing and stirring of newly replenished toner by providing a magnetic force generating means on the bottom part of a stirring part.
CONSTITUTION: A developer is constrained like a magnetic brush by the magnetic force of a magnetic sheet 38 stuck on the surface of a partition 41 opposed to the feeding blade 48 of the bottom part of the stirring part of this developing device, and a carrier C forms napping. While the feeding blade 48 is rotated in a state where the carrier C comes in contact with the napping, and cuts the napping, the contact probability of toner T and the carrier C is enhanced, and the mixing and stirring of both of them are further increased. Consequently, the speed of the rise of the electrification of the newly replenished toner is increased, image quality is improved, and the scattering of the toner can be prevented.
