Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the developing method of using a developer carrier being durable even if a developer is used over a long period, without generating melt-sticking and filming on a latent image holder.
SOLUTION: In this method, a one-component developer 10 and the developer carrier 14 having a conductive resin layer 13 formed on a metallic substrate 12 are used and the one-component developer 10 and the conductive resin layer 13 come into contact with each other, so that the one-component developer 10 holds a triboelectric charge and an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrostatic latent image holder 7 is developed with the one-component developer 10 holding the triboelectric charge. At this time, the one-component developer 10 has at least toner grains consisting essentially of a binding resin and abrasive compounds externally added to the toner grains and mixed with them and the conductive resin layer 13 incorporates at least the binding resin, conductive fine powder and filler powder.
