Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve developing efficiency by restraining the fluctuation of a developing toner amount and restraining the change of a hue to be equal to or under an allowable value.
SOLUTION: In this developing method; an electrostatic latent image holding body 1a holding an electrostatic latent image and a developer carrier 3a carrying non-magnetic one-component developer are faced through a gap G, and the developer of the carrier 3a is given to the electrostatic latent image of the holding body 1a so as to develop the image. In such a case, the peak voltage of AC electric field to narrow the width of particle size distribution in the case the average particle size of the developer left on the carrier 3a without being used for developing is larger than the average particle size of the developer on the holding body 1a is impressed on the carrier 3a.
