Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain a good image in the case toner in developer is supplied from a developer carrying member to an image carrier at a developing area so as to perform developing.
SOLUTION: As to this developing method by which the developer 1 including the toner T and the carrier is made to be in a thin-layer condition on the developer carrying member 11 and carried to the developing area opposed to the image carrier 2 by the developer carrying member 11, a vibrating electric field is made to act on the developing area, so that the toner in the developer is supplied to the image carrier from the developer carrying member; the carrier whose residual magnetization is ≥10emu/g is used as the carrier.
