Title:
DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING DIRECTION OF LUMINOUS FLUX EMITTED FROM AT LEAST ONE HEAD LAMP PROVIDED ON VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3020950
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable adjusting of the direction of luminous flux emitted from a head lamp of an own vehicle without being influenced by a light beam emitted from another light source.
SOLUTION: By a sensor 20, a lighting state is detected in a shape of a beam emitted from a head lamp 10 and reflected from a road surface in front of a vehicle. By an evaluation device 42, the lighting state is evaluated concerning only a beam component having an intensity changed in time. The beam component is supplied to a processing unit 46, and by the processing unit 46, the real lighting state is compared with a target lighting state having a lighting distance which is properly adjusted. When deflection occurs, an output signal is generated by the processing unit 46, an adjusting device 18 corresponding to the head lamp 10 is operated by the output signal, and by the adjusting device 18, inclination of the head lamp 10 is adjusted until a proper lighting distance is adjusted.
