PURPOSE: To provide a device for advancing guiding and positioning a web of photosensitive material.

CONSTITUTION: A photographic film 20 after being exposed/developed is moved forward to between a lower guiding member 1 and an upper guiding member being movable up and down from the lower guiding member 1, in a state where the upper guiding member is nearer to or away from the lower guiding member 1, through a photographic copying machine. The opposed surface 1a of the guiding member is provided with a lifted up part which surrounds a window 3 with which the guiding member is correctly aligned and a film frame 21 aligned with the window 3, to be engaged with the film 20 in a wide range, when the film is stopped. Once the formation of the image of the film frame aligned with the window 3 is completed, plural springs lifts up the upper guiding member and a jet of compressed air for floating the film between two guiding members is discharged through the port 17 of the lifted up part of the opposed surface 1a, while the next film frame 21 is moved forward to an alignment position with the window.
