Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus applicable to a fluorescent lamp by which power consumption is reduced without fluctuating the light flux of the fluorescent lamp by providing a reflection screen in which its inner diameter coincides with the outer diameter of a fluorescent lamp glass and its cross section has an electric arc shape. CONSTITUTION: The upper semicylinder 3 of a fluorescent lamp 1 is covered by a screen 5, and in its reflection face its lower semicylinder 2 touching the glass outer face of the semicylinder remains as a light emitting face. The screen 5 is mainly formed by only treated Al. In the screen 5 the light irradiation process of P is sufficiently conducted by the effect of a beam UV which escapes from a thin layer, passes through the glass of the upper semicylinder 3, and is reflected to inside the fluorescent lamp by the reflection face of the screen 5. Thereby, by using a long and middle wave UV beam which passes through the glass of the fluorescent lamp 1, and can be incident again by the reflection effect of the screen 5, a current fluorescent lamp can be definitely and efficiently changed.
