PURPOSE: To improve the productivity in assembly work by fitting the engaging part of an elastic stopper from the outer peripheral face side with the fitting groove at the projecting part at both sides of the V block interperposed on the inner peripheral face of a flexible endless strip and automatizing the work of eliminating it in the strip peripheral direction.
CONSTITUTION: A flexible endless strip 1 is taken down on an assembly position A by the holding mechanism H of the above of a base Ba. The V block 2 fed onto the inner peripheral face thereof by a block feeding mechanism F1 is interperposed in the strip 1 both edges by the both side projection parts 71, 72 and located by being held with the holding and moving part 17 of the moving mechanism T serving an eliminating mechanism as well. On the other hand, the elastic stripper 3 fed in by the feeding part Fa of a stopper feeding mechanism F2 is held by a holding claw and segmental shaft part 83 on a receiving plate, abutted to the notch 12 of the V block 2 and engaged with a fitting groove 11 with the advance of the holding part 17 as well. The assembly V block 2 is eliminated by the advance of the holding part 17.
