Title:
DEVICE FOR ATTACHING LUMINAIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05314808
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To readily attach and remove a luminaire to and from a ceiling face by the method in which a worker attaches an adapter to a ceiling and lifts the luminaire and pushes it into the adapter while looking at the adapter from a hole provided through an attaching device.

CONSTITUTION: An adapter 30 is attached to a ceiling face. A hole which fits with the adapter 30 is provided in an attaching device main body 2 secured to the ceiling-side cover 40 of a luminaire, and a worker lifts the luminaire while making sure where the adapter 30 locates. The cover 35 of the adapter 30 hits a ball 10 and then a spring 12 is compressed and a ball retaining ring 6 is lowered and the ball 10 enters a blind hole 16 and retreats. As the luminaire is further pushed up, the ball 10 enters a lock hole 32 and then installation of the luminaire is completed. To remove the luminaire, the pin 18 is pushed up and then the spring 14 is compressed and the blind hole 6 rises so that the ball 10 retreats into the blind hole 16. As a result, the adapter 30 is unlocked from the attaching device main body 2.
