The article storage bag attaching device, for attaching an umbrella bag 12, which is an accommodating bag, to a foldable umbrella 11, which is an article, includes: a body 20, which accommodates the umbrella bag 12, and which is configured such that an introducing part 21, for the foldable umbrella 11 as the article in an upper part, and a taking-out part 22, for the foldable umbrella 11 on the side part, are continuously provided; an opening operation member 30, which is rotated by the bias by coming into contact with the leading end of the folded umbrella 11 introduced from the introducing part 21, to open the opening 121 of the umbrella bag 12; a rotatable web 33, which is set up on the side of the taking-out part 22 of the opening operation member 30; and a restraining plate 34, which is set up on the side opposite the taking-out part 22 of the opening operation member 30. At least the shortest distance, between the web 33 on an introduction path for the foldable umbrella 11 and the restraining plate 34, is set shorter than the width of the opening of the umbrella bag.
