Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a device for positioning a supporter in a central position by providing a retaining means for keeping an outer box horizontal, supporting means for supporting the retaining means in such a manner as to permit the retaining means to be moved longitudinally and laterally, a transfer means for transferring the supporting means together with the outer box held by the retaining means and for lowering the outer box and a spreading means for spreading the side walls of the outer box.
CONSTITUTION: A lunch box 8 in a specified shape is carried from stock near a lunch box mounting station to immediately above a division plate which has been transferred to the lunch box mounting station by suction pads 7 freely movable longitudinally and laterally relative to a ceiling crane 5 and supports 6 for supporting spreading pawls 11. The side walls of the lunch box are spread by the spreading pawls 11, so that they form somewhat obtuse angles to the upper surface thereof. When the lunch box is placed over the division plate, even if the division plate is slightly mispositioned, the outer edges of the dividing plate and the spread side walls of the lunch box 8 are held in contact with each other and the lunch box 8 is made to move in a correct position relative to the division plate, thereby acting to place the supports 6 in the central position.
