PURPOSE: To enable automatic bending at plural bending points of a metal-made band-like work (e.g. Thomson edge material, etc.) in the longitudinal direction.

CONSTITUTION: A swing bar 6 is turnably arranged in the horizontal plane centered on the bending position O, and a following member 10 is positioned at this free end side and shiftably supported in the longitudinal direction of the swing bar 6 and used to a work feeding means, as well. In the following member 10, a main clamp 11 for holding the rear end part of the work W and a sensor 12 for following the work W to turning displacement, etc., are arranged. Further, one set of bending dies 1 is made to be changed with automatic type changing device containing a turret table 4, etc. At the time of starting the bending by bringing one set of the bending dies 1 close with one pair of bending cylinder 20, the work W is displaced while turning to the direction of bending and further, the swing bar 6 and the following member 10 are turned so as to follow the work.
