PURPOSE: To obtain a flower stem-binding device capable of reducing the defective binding of the flower stems and binding the flower stems with a proper binding force by disposing an attaching or detaching mechanism capable of loosely rotatably holding a binding string-wound bobbin on a binding mechanism and further disposing a braking mechanism for the driven rotation of the bobbin caused by the delivery of the binding string.
CONSTITUTION: This flower stem-binding device is provided with a carrying conveyer 1 capable of loading and carrying the stems of plural flowers, a cutting mechanism 18 capable of cutting the base end parts of the carried flower stems in an uniform length, a leaf-dropping mechanism 22 for dropping the lower leaves of the cut flower stems carried in the separated and parallel state, a collecting and binding mechanism 54 capable of collecting a plurality of the leaf-dropped flower stems into a bunch, and a binding mechanism 29 capable of binding the collected flower stems. An attaching or detaching mechanism 41 capable of loosely rotatably holding the bobbin B having a binding string H wound thereon is disposed on the binding mechanism 29, and a braking mechanism for giving a braking force to the driven rotation of the bobbin accompanied by the delivery of the binding string H is disposed on the attaching or detaching mechanism.
