PURPOSE: To provide a blocking device for a branch port, which can be used for fluid pipes having different diameters without the necessity of a holder, and which has a less number of components so as to be manufactured at a low cost.
CONSTITUTION: A blocking device for a branch port, is composed of a ring-like seal member 18 fitted in an opening 2, a retainer 10 inserted in the seal member 18, a retaining ring 20 provided on the retainer 10 and adapted to make contact with an outward directed end surface of the seal member 18, a moving member 21 for causing the retaining ring 20 and the retainer 10 to compress the seal member 18 which is therefore deformed in a radial direction so that the outer peripheral surface of the seal member 18 is made into close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the opening 2, a locking member 23 which is set at its one end part on the retainer 10 so as to be radially movable, and which is adapted to be engaged with the inner peripheral surface of the pipe 1 by projecting the end part thereof from the retainer 10, and a manipulating member 22 provided in the retainer 10 so as to be movable axially thereof, for pulling the end part of the locking member 23 into the retainer 10 by pressing the locking member at its end part.
