PURPOSE: To provide a device for casting a sheet capable of producing the cast sheet which has good quality and uniform thickness by bringing a trough mounted on a pressurized pouring furnace into contact with upper and lower water cooling rolls or disposing said trough to face the rolls at a slight spacing therefrom and providing a slag removing gate to the trough.

CONSTITUTION: A molten metal 5 is raised to a tap hole 11a by controlling a pressurizing gas in a pressurizing system molten metal level, i.e., the molten metal level 6 is maintained within the specified height by a molten metal level control system 11b. The molten metal 5 is sent toward the revolving upper and lower water cooling rolls 1, 2 through the trough 10 and is brought into contact therewith. While the molten metal 5 in contact with the rolls 1, 2 is solidified, the metal is stuck to the outer peripheral face of the rolls 1, 2 and is press-welded by the two rolls 1, 2. The solidified metal is taken out in the form of the sheet. Slag floating on the surface of the molten metal 5 is removed by the slag removing trough 12.
