To provide a device for catching and conveying a card that poses no problems such as an increase in current consumption and heating of solenoids and that maintains stable conveying action.

A card 20 inserted is caught by a driving roller 13 and a driven roller 12 provided at an arm 11. One plate spring 16 is secured to a side face of the rotatable arm 11, and a pulley 18 and a solenoid 19 are provided to support the plate spring 16. When operated the solenoid 19 presses and deflects the plate spring 16. When the card 20 is inserted in this conveyor, the solenoid 19 operates, the plate spring 16 is deflected to press the arm 11 downward, and the arm 11 rotates and presses the driven roller 12 against the card 20 inserted. In this way, the card 20 is caught by the driving roller 13 and the driven roller 12 inside the conveyor, whereby the card 20 can be conveyed.
