PURPOSE: To completely prevent the outflow of the fluid at the inlet and outlet parts of the band-shaped body by providing a pair of seal rolls of holding type in a continuous manner with a non-contact supporting device.
CONSTITUTION: The outflow of the fluid at the inlet and outlet parts of a band- shaped body 4 perfectly disappears by providing a pair of seal rolls 2 in a continuous manner with a non-contact supporting device 1, and no drop or fluctuation of the floating amount is given thereby. No outflow of the fluid at the inlet and outlet part of the band-shaped body 4 at the inlet and outlet parts of the band-shaped body 4 facilitates the holding of the fluid between the band-shaped body 4 and the non-contact supporting device 1, and also reduce the flow rate of the fluid required for the non-contact support. The passing direction of the non-contact supporting device 1 using the fluid can be stably changed. This constitution increases the passing speed than that in the conventional method, and does not damage the productivity even when the line such as plating and annealing is arranged in a layout not to be a straight line in a plane.
