PURPOSE: To execute compensation for a deviation or the like and to find out an accurate plotting position by previously plotting the position of a reference point and storing the position as a compensation value.
CONSTITUTION: When an optional point on an operational face is plotted by a pen or the like, its oscillation is received by respective sensors S1 to S4. Timing, especially time differences obtained when respective sensors receive the oscillation are computed to find out the plotting position P. When the plotting position on the operational face found out by the operation is judged, information input corresponding to the position can be attained. Thereby the previously determined reference point on the operational face is plotted prior to the plotting of an optional position on the operational face, the plotted reference point is detected and the detection point P0 is stored as a compensation value. When an optional point on the operational face is plotted, the plotted point is compensated with the compensation value stored as the detection point P0 and the compensated value is processed as normal positional information.
