Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous tube cutter capable of continuously cutting metal tubes and other various kinds of tubes used for exhaust pipes, silencers, etc., of an internal combustion engine, and continuously, easily and rapidly collecting them or leading them to the next step.
SOLUTION: The continuous tube cutter comprises a cutting mechanism to successively cut the tubes which are continuously fed at the predetermined speed to the predetermined length, and a mandrel which is inserted in the tube when cutting the tube by the cutting mechanism, and the tubes cut by the cutting mechanism are successively fitted to and held by the mandrel. The tubes which are manufactured in a tube manufacturing step can be continuously fed to the cutting mechanism as they are, or a plurality of mandrels are provided as necessary in a changeable manner, and when the number of the tubes successively fitted to and held by the mandrel reaches the predetermined value, the mandrel is switched, and the tubes are successively fitted to and held by another mandrel.
