To provide a device for control of a hybrid vehicle that can be regenerated without giving a sense of incongruity to a driver, even if an automatic transmission performs reengaging shift at coast regeneration or the like.
The device for control of the hybrid vehicle includes the automatic transmission which achieves a plurality of speed change stages by fastening and releasing a plurality of fastening elements, and a motor generator which is arranged at the input side of the automatic transmission, and imparts regeneration torque. The device is provided with a regeneration torque limiter which limits the regeneration torque of the motor generator when the number of revolutions input into the automatic transmission is not larger than a prescribed number of revolutions when the automatic transmission is changed in speed.
