Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit learning of clogging of an intake tube when leak is detected in a blow-by gas passage to make it possible to start intake quantity control in a correct state after the leak is repaired.
SOLUTION: This device to control intake air quantity to an internal combustion engine is provided with a control valve to regulate air quantity taken into the internal combustion engine. A control device computes a clogging coefficient representing a clogging degree in the intake tube of the internal combustion engine based on feedback correction quantity for feedback control to speed of the internal combustion engine during idling. The control device sets opening of the control device based on the clogging coefficient, and controls the control valve to the set opening of the control valve. In a case where leak in the blow-by gas passage from the internal combustion engine to be connected to the intake tube is detected, computation of the clogging coefficient is prohibited. Since the clogging coefficient is not renewed, determination error of increase in intake quantity caused by the leak as elimination of clogging can be prevented.
