Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an internal combustion engine at high-heat efficiency without a decline in EGR rate and suppress an increase in an amount of unburnt fuel and deterioration in torque fluctuation while inhibiting knocking.SOLUTION: A device for controlling an internal combustion engine includes: a torque sensor 22 for measuring torque fluctuation of output power from an internal combustion engine 102; self-ignition promotion means for conducting self-ignition control of causing a mixture to self-ignite supplied to the internal combustion engine 102; and EGR rate changing means for increasing the EGR rate when the torque fluctuation is higher than a permissible value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
