To provide a device for controlling noxious insects, capable of maintaining insecticidal effects for a long time in spite of shortening its heating time.
This device for controlling the noxious insects and heating and volatilizing a treating chemical containing an insecticidal component into air by using a hating element is characterized by heating to elevate the surface temperature of the heating element at 70 to 150°C to heat and transpire the treating chemical containing 1 kind or ≥2 kinds of compounds selected from pyrethroid compounds having 2×10-4 to 1×10-2 mmHg vapor pressure at 30°C as the insecticidal component in a short time, and making ≤1 μm particle diameter of the treating chemical containing the insecticidal component volatilized in the air to keep an atmosphere capable of controlling the noxious insects for the period of time which is ≥2 times the heating for transpiring time.
