PURPOSE: To simply execute the setting of a release angle in short time.

CONSTITUTION: A slide control device for setting the release angle controls the slide 29 in order to set the release angle of a feed device 30 in a pressing machine. A driving motor 16 for micro-inching device, rotary encorder 12, start switch 13 and control circuit 15 are provided. At the time of inputting a start instructing signal from the start switch 13, the control circuit 15 controls the driving motor 16 so that the slide 29 descends at extremely low speed and also, based on a release starting angle data read from a storing part 25 and a slide angle data inputted from the rotary encorder 12, a clutch brake 20, etc., is controlled so that the slide 29 stops at the release starting angle.
