Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately and quickly control and average speed of air flowing through the non-covered part of the opening of a fume hood at the time of maintaining the average air speed passing by changing the flow rate of air flowing through an exhaust duct in accordance with a door position signal and an actual flow rate signal by controlling a flow rate changing means.

CONSTITUTION: The fume hood controller 20 measures the actual flow rate of air flowing through the non-covered part of the opening of a fume hood by detecting the position of each mobile sashed door 76. The controller 20 also maintains a prescribed average air speed at the non-covered part by changing the actual flow rate of air flowing through an exhaust duct 70 in accordance with a door position signal and an actual flow rate signal. Therefore, the control which is performed for maintaining the average air speed at the non-covered part can be performed accurately as the sashed door 76 move. When the position of one door 76 is changed or another state change which loses the balance occurs, the control can be performed at an extremely fast response speed. Moreover, all types of fume hoods which are available at present can be controlled.
