Abstract:
PURPOSE:To omit a phase adjusting circuit and to simplify the constitution of a hardware by providing a circuit for converting the frequency of high definition information by the carrier of (227/2) X horizontal frequency fH. CONSTITUTION:A frequency dividing circuit 12 divides the frequency of a chrominance subcarrier FSC inputted from a terminal 11, converts the input FSC into the carrier CW-Yh of (227/2) X horizontal frequency fH and inputs the carrier CW-Yh to a phase circuit 13a of a field phase circuit 13. A multiplier 17 shifts the original band 4-6MHz to the band 2.2-4.4MHz by the carrier obtained by selecting the I/O of a phase circuit 13a by the switch 13b in each field and the high definition information obtained by extracting the high frequency component of a luminance signal Y inputted from a terminal 15 through a filter 16 and outputs the shifted signal to an adder 19 through a band filter 18. The adder 19 synthesizes the high definition information obtained from the filter 18 with a video signal synthesized from the luminance signal Y and a color signal C obtained from a color encoder 20 and outputs a conversion signal.
