To provide a device and method for conveying a continuous sheet constituting a plurality of cells of a fuel cell, capable of reliably conveying the continuous sheet without giving rise to looseness of the sheet in a simple structure.
The device, for sending out the continuous sheet 1 constituting the plurality of cells of the fuel cell, includes a conveying hole forming means 30 forming conveying holes 11 at either side edge of the continuous sheet 1, a hollowing-out means 40 forming windows 12 by hollowing out the continuous sheet 1, feeding rollers 50, 60 with protrusions capable of getting engaged with the conveying holes formed at either side edge of the continuous sheet, and restraint means 70 driven in synchronization with rotation of the feeding rollers and restraining by pressing the peripheries of the conveying holes of the sheet around peripheries of the protrusions of the feeding rollers. Then, the restraint means 70 contain belts 71 in plane contact with periphery faces of the feeding rollers 50, 60.
