Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a conveyor chain for retaining a sheet in the plane state while the sheet is passed through the front of a detector to protect the printing on the sheet from getting damaged.
CONSTITUTION: Supporting bars 4 and 4' on which a sheet to be checked slides are provided with suction nozzles 10a on their ends and movable arms 10 with suction nozzles fitted at their ends are provided in a clearance between the supporting bars 4 and 4'. The nozzles 10a are disposed on a sheet transfer plane so as to hold the sheet aligned with suction nozzles on the operating position and checked on the sheet transfer plane. For the purpose of preventing clamps 2a pulling the sheet 3 from touching the arms 10, a mechanism for tilting the arm 10 when the clamps 2a pass above the arms is provided.
