Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the development of uneven temp. distribution in the metal strip width direction even in the case a metal strip being changed in the width enters, at the time of cooling the metal strip with a nozzle header.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a gas cooling device 1a having the nozzle headers 10 for spouting the cooling gas constituted of plural nozzle header bodies 10a-10i connected in the width direction of the metal strip, where the width of the plural nozzle header bodies 10a-10i is in the range from the maximal edge part width Wmax till the minimal edge part width Wmin both of which are within the variation in the width of the metal strip X and are narrower than the metal strip width X, and a gas adjusting device 2a individually executing cooling gas supply and the pressure and the flow rate adjustments of each nozzle header (e.g. composed of valves 20a-20i, etc.).
