Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correcting device of the circumference which does not cause a damage to a roller even when foreign matter ( a cut metal piece or the like ) is adhered to the surface of a metallic ring in the preceding stage ( solution heat treatment or the like ) of the corrective processing, and a decrease in yield is evaded.
SOLUTION: In the circumference correcting device 1, the circumference is corrected by adding tensile stress to the metallic ring 4 by riding the metallic ring 4 around a drive roller 2 and a driven roller 3 which are movable in the direction separating each other by moving either or both rollers while rotating the rollers 2, 3. The circumference correcting device 1 is provided with a foreign matter removing head 5 and this foreign matter removing head 5 functions as a removing means for removing the foreign matter adhered to the inner peripheral surface of the metallic ring 4 and a re-adhesion preventing means for preventing the re-adhesion to the metallic ring of the foreign matter removed by the removing means.
