Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the deformation of an injection sleeve and to contrive the smooth driving by controlling cooling fluid according as the displacement while measuring the displacement of the injection sleeve in a horizontal type die casting machine.

CONSTITUTION: The displacement in the condition of no cooling of the injection sleeve 1 in the horizontal type die casting machine is measured to decide this reference position. At the time of supplying molten metal 5 into the injection sleeve 1 from a pouring hole, the injection sleeve 1 and a cooling sleeve 7 are deformed as curving state. Therefore, a displacement transmitting member 16 and a joint 18 supported with a leaf spring 20 are shifted upward, and the displacement crossed at the right angle of the injection sleeve 1 is measured with a potentiometer 23 following to this displacement. The cooling fluid from a cooling fluid supplying source 26 is flowed into the displacement transmitting member 16, pipe 11 and cooling passage 14 while controlling through a flow rate control valve 27 to execute the cooling the injection sleeve 1. Then, the displacement of the potentiometer 23 is corrected in a prescribed range so as to become the reference position.
