Abstract:
Ski harness fitting plate enables adjusting position of harness. The fitting plate consists of a base plate (1), onto which the harness grips (8a, 8b) are fixed. The base plate (1) is held on guide rails (2) fixed to the ski upper surface. By the provision of slots in the base plate (1) for fixing the harness parts, the distance between the toe grip (8a) and heel grip (8b) can be adjusted to allow for a large number of shoe sizes. The skiers centre of gravity can be moved along the ski by sliding the base plate (1) carrying the harness along the ski on the guide rails (2). The height of the plate can also be adjusted along one or both sides by altering the guide rails (2). This method provides a ski harness fitting which can be adjusted as required for any skiers requirements and allows the type of harness to be changed without the need for making extra screw holes which can weaken the ski.
