Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a device from being made large in size as a whole by a spring for supporting the opening/closing of an opening/closing cover.
CONSTITUTION: A double spring is formed by a first torsion coil spring 24 fitted around a toilet seat opening/closing rod 16, which is rotated integrally with the toilet seat of a Western style toilet bowl by interval fitting and a second torsion coil spring 26 fitted around the outer periphery of this first torsion coil spring 24 by interval fitting. A stop end part 24a of the first torsion coil spring 24 and a stop end part 26a of the second torsion coil spring 26 are respectively engaged with toilet seat adapters 18 of the toilet seat opening/ closing rod 16, respective engage hooks 24b and 26b are respectively engaged with spring stop projections 129 and 12h, and the first and second torsion coil springs 24 and 26 are energized in the direction to open the toilet seat.
