Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a crop-culturing device for raising a crop on a culture medium by utilizing the gravity and a capillary phenomenon to supply a culture solution to the culture medium from a culture solution-storing tank.
CONSTITUTION: The crop-culturing device comprises a culture bet 1 having a culture solution-supplying groove 11 for the flowage of the culture solution at the bottom part of the culture bed, a culture solution surface-controlling tank 2 which is disposed adjacent to the culture bed 1 so as to make it communicate with the culture solution-supplying groove 11 and has a solution surface height-controlling means 10 for controlling the solution surface to prevent the culture solution from flowing into the culture solution-supplying groove in a larger amount than a constant amount, a culture solution-storing tank 3 for supplying the culture solution into the culture solution surface-controlling tank 2, a water-absorbing culture solution-supplying sheet 6 which is partially immersed in the culture solution-supplying groove to suck up the culture solution from the groove, and a culture medium 8 disposed above the culture solution- supplying sheet 6 through a water-permeable sheet 7.
