PURPOSE: To provide a device for curing a coated film which eliminates the need for a baking operation at a high temp. and can cure the coated film in short time by consisting said device of a curing chamber for the coated film, a section for carrying painted parts into and out of the curing chamber, a gaseous flow generator for NH3 or the like for curing the coated film, a circularting section for said gas, a circulating and refeeding device for the NH3 or the like in waste gas.
CONSTITUTION: A device which cures a coated film contg. a prepolymer having a free OCN group by bringing the same into contact with NH3 or amine of vapor phase is provided. More specifically, the painted parts 10 described above are conveyed 2 into a curing chamber 1 and the gaseous flow of NH3 or amine generated by a vapor generator 3 is brought into contact with the coated film. The gas after the contact is circulated 4 to the generator 3. On the other hand, the painted article 10' of which the painted film is cured is conveyed 2 into a post-curing chamber 9 where the article is brought into contact with air flow to accelerate curing of the coated film. The leakage of the above-described gas is prevented by an air sealing mechanism 7 in the carrying-in port and carrying-out port of the chamber 1 during this time. The NH3 and amine in the waste gas from the circulating section 4 and the mechanism 7 are separated and recovered 31 and are fed again to the section 4.
