To provide a device for cutting an existing pipe which can return a cutting tool to its original position without requiring taking extra time and a large load when the cutting tool is returned to its original position after cutting an existing water pipe.
A cutting unit 3 is composed of a stepping screw part 16, which can advance/retreat the cutting tool 19 in the diameter direction of the existing water pipe P and can be rotated around a first rotary shaft C1 arranged in the diameter direction, a passive rotating part 18, which can be rotated around a second rotary shaft C2 driven by a kicker part fixedly arranged near a cutting route of the cutting unit 3, and a decelerating means having a spur gear mechanism for imparting rotation equivalent to a unit feed amount to the stepping screw part 16 by the passive rotating part 18 after decelerating the rotation. The first rotary shaft C1 and the second rotary shaft C2 are arranged in parallel. The cutting unit 3 is provided with a load means for imparting a load to rotating operation of the second rotary shaft C2.
