To obtain particulate bodies, each of which has a clear cut surface and a little deformed short cut length by a method wherein a flat plate-like cutting blade group, which rotates under the condition that each tip of the blade comes into contact with the discharging surface of a die, is arranged radially so as to let the cutting surface normal to the rotating surface of revolution of the flat plate-like cutting blade group.
A foam A, which is continuously discharged from an extruder 1, is extruded in a bar-like fashion from a discharging hole 2a formed in a die 2. Each tip part 3a of a flat plate-like cutting blade group 3, respective cutting blade of which are radially arranged at equal intervals onto a holder 4 so as to make the surface of revolution normal to the cutting surface, comes into contact with the discharging surface 2b of the die, resulting in cutting a foam continuously discharged from the die 2 with the flat plate-like cutting blade group 3 and in allowing to obtain particulate bodies B, each of which has a clear cut surface, little deformed and a short cut length, with no necessity of cutting blades rotating at high speed.
