The device has a container comprising a body 2 of the container having an opening part 1 through which the white ant can go in and out, and a lid 3 by which the opening at the upper face is opened and closed, and an agent 4 for attracting the white ant, stored in the container. The attracting agent 4 optionally contains an expellant. A part or the whole of the container is composed of a polyacrylic resin or the like which is a see-through material enabling visual observation of the white ants in the interior from the exterior of the container. As a result, the presence or absence, or the action of the white ants in the interior of the container can be visually observed from the exterior of the container because the part or the whole of the container is composed of the see-through material enabling the visual observation of the white ants in the interior from the exterior of the container.
