Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely detect yarn left on a bobbin delivered from a winder.
CONSTITUTION: A device 3, used for detecting the presence of yarn A left on a bobbin 1 which is delivered from a winder as it is mounted on a tray 2, comprises an optical sensor 11 which moves along the length of the bobbin 1 and at an almost equal distance from the surface of the bobbin 1, projects light onto the surface of the bobbin 1, and detects the light reflected from the remaining yarn A so as to detect the presence of the remaining yarn A.
