To provide an inexpensive rotation angle detecting device that is used for detecting a rotation angle or the like of a steering of an automobile, has a simple constitution, and detects the rotation angles of a plurality of rotating rotators.
In the rotation angle detecting device, a female screw section 22C is disposed in the inner periphery of a detecting object 22, a male screw section 32A is disposed in substrate 30, the female screw section 22C is screwed with the male screw section 32A, the detecting object 22 is rotated in interlock with the rotation of the rotator 21 and is moved vertically in the rotation axis direction, and a controller 29 detects the rotation angle of the rotator 21 in response to detection signals S1 and S2 from a detector consisting of a magnet 23A and magnetic detection element 23B according to the rotation and movement of the rotation axis direction of the detecting object 22.
