Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether a defect is caused by wrong positioning in an image inspection device which inspects printed matter by comparing a read image obtained by reading the sheet thereof with an image for inspection.SOLUTION: A device for determining image inspection result sums up the amount of a defect generated in a read image for each of region obtained by dividing the image into a plurality of regions on the basis of inspection result information. The device determines whether a tendency of the defect generated in the read image complies with the predetermined conditions and corresponds to an error detection of a defect caused by wrong positioning. The device determines that the defect generated in the read image is an error detection caused by wrong positioning when the amount of the defect summed up for each of region is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold, and a tendency of the defect generated in the read image corresponds to the conditions of error detection.
