Abstract:
The present invention provides a device for determining the pressure in a combustion chamber (100) of a large engine. The device comprises: a drain valve (2) to discharge a fluid from the combustion chamber (100) through a cylinder cover (101) defining the combustion chamber (100); and a pressure sensor (3) to determine the pressure in the combustion chamber (100). The drain valve (2) includes a valve sleeve (4) extended from a first end (41) to a second end (42) in a longitudinal direction (L). A closing body (5) for a sealing interaction with a valve seat (61, 61′) is provided on the second end (42) of the valve sleeve (4). The closing body (5) is separably connected to the valve sleeve (4). Also, the pressure sensor (3) is integrated in the drain valve (2). The pressure sensor (3) is arranged in the valve sleeve (4) in an area of the second end (42). The pressure sensor (3) is fixed to be separated from the drain valve (2). The outer diameter of the pressure sensor (3) is smaller than the inner diameter (ID) of the valve sleeve to insert the pressure sensor (3) into the valve sleeve. Also, the present invention provides a large engine having such a device (1).
