PURPOSE: To provide a dewatering and drying device which is constituted to perform high-efficient dewatering and drying when an empty container after a filler, such as foods, contained in a can is discharged and packed in a bag is washed and dried.

CONSTITUTION: In a dewatering drying device which is operated to blow compressed air or hot air against an empty container l, fed after the empty container is washed by a washing device, to dry, a column body 8b through which a feed air hole is formed is loosely inserted in the empty container 1 and compressed air or hot air is blown through the feed air hole. Blown air or wet air flows from the bottom part of the empty container l through the gap 9 between the outer periphery of the column body 8b and the inner periphery of the empty container 1 and is blown to the inlet side of the empty container 1.
